Java Sparrow, also known as Java Ricebird or Paddy Ricebird in the East is endemic to Java and Bali. It was introduced to Hawaii, likely by released cage birds, in the late 60's. As of 1995 it had become well established on several areas of the Island of Oahu in Hawaii.
