Molokai Cliffs

The cliffs of the northern shore of Molokaʻi are about 5,000 feet high and are the tallest sea cliffs in the world. Molokai is formed by two shield volcanoes, the eastern volcano is the highest. The tall cliffs were formed when the northern half of this volcano suffered a catastrophic collapse about 1.5 million years ago. Views of these sea cliffs are presented in the movie Jurassic Park III. Photo by James Brennan Molokai Hawaii
